Did Holly and Charlie’s day go to plan? Absolutely not. Was it completely gorgeous? It certainly was!
There are some weddings you will never ever forget, Holly and Charlie’s is one of those ones. Back in 2019 they planned a marquee reception down in Bosham, West Sussex. The evening before their wedding a huge storm wreaked havoc on their marquee, deemed not safe enough to use the abandoned the original plan. Come 6am on their wedding day we receive an email explaining they currently have no venue, but are still planning on getting married. Talk about a stressful start to your wedding day, right?
Amazingly family, friends and locals rallied around and a working farm barn was transformed into a wedding reception. Farm machinery was moved and hale bales lined the barn to create a rustic backdrop. If you didn’t know what had happened the night before you’d have no idea, it was utterly perfect.
Holly & Charlie are the definition of go with the flow on your wedding day, you cannot control the weather so don’t let it control you. (We like to remind brides of this when we see them getting anxious about rain on their wedding day.)
