Our approach is all about keeping things relaxed, natural, and effortless. You don’t need to worry about posing—we won’t ask you to stand in awkward positions or hold uncomfortable smiles. Instead, it’s just about enjoying a quiet moment together while we capture the connection between you both.

The best photos happen when you’re simply being yourselves. A gentle walk, a quiet conversation, or a shared laugh will always look more natural than a staged pose. We’ll encourage you to chat with each other to help ease any nerves, but we aim to avoid open-mouth talking photos, so keep it light and playful. It’s also worth keeping in mind that a little champagne can be great for relaxing, but too much before your couple portraits can make things trickier.

We always work with your energy—if you need more direction, we’re happy to give it, but if you prefer a hands-off approach, we’ll step back and capture things as they unfold. If anything feels unnatural, just let us know. Some of the best images happen in the moments between the ‘posed’ shots, and those are the ones we’re always looking for.

You’re not alone in feeling a little self-conscious in front of the camera—most of our couples tell us they are awful in front of the camera (spoiler alert, they aren’t!!)
